Not Yet!!
For most of the day, I have been sorting through stacks of paper on my desk.  Scrapbooking is fun, filing miscellaneous data is not.  In our home, we have NOT YET reached the "paperless" era.  I want to post a photo of two walls of my studio.  Of course, the new shelves drove me into a organizing frenzy. You must do that occasionally or you smoother in embellishments and paper.  I do recommend  Elfa shelves and drawers from The Container Store.  Sturdy comes to mind.  In my younger days, I do believe I could have assembled them myself.  Stay cool.

Front row view!

Looking out my office window, I have a front row view of a pair of Scissortail Flycathers and their nest with two babies.  No feathers on the babies, just fuzz.  It would be nice to add a photo of the family but my 250mm lenses just isn't long enough.  We have a bumper crop of grasshoppers so the parents are not having to fly great distance for food.  The grasshoppers have been dining on our basil and parsley.
When I am not watching the little family, I am, once again, organizing my craft space.  Finally found someone that needed a large computer desk.  After it is gone, I will have a wall to add more Container Store shelves and a desk surface for the sewing machine and TV.  I have been scrapping for 9 years and still "finding my style."   My thought process now, tells me to dispense with card making.  It takes me too much time to make card and I send mostly e-cards from Birthday Alarm. You must constantly elvaluate and dispurse or the supplies will comsum your space.
I must take photos of some of the Webb Family pages I have made.  So far, I haven't found good light.  Best soloution would be to scan the pages but scanner bed will only do 8.5 x 11 which makes for lot of time to do 12 x12.  Lots of scanning and photomerging.
It would be better to be more consistant in my blog posting........

Getting the hang of it!!

Finally,!!  I made my first 'Cut' using Cricut Craft Room.  In fact, after kicking and crying, I think it will prove to be better than Design Studio.  The kicking and crying came over having to learn something new.  I have so many photos to put in albums that I hated to take the time to learn yet another program.  Isn't Photoshop Elements hard enough!!  That will be an on going learning experience as I think Craft Room to be.  Hoping to ward off Alzheimers with all this learning.

All is not wonderful with Craft Room and my Cricut Personal Cutter.  My machine is so old that it will not do all that the newer ones can.  The notice said they were trying to 'fix' the problem.  I have decided that I do not need a 12 X 12 cutting area.  Mostly, I am dealing with small die cuts that works with 6 x 12.  So, lets hope they correct the problem.  I want to leave my cartridges in Jukeboxes and not have to insert the cart into the machine.  That is part not working on older machines.

a Nook, wonderful invention

I received a Nook for Christmas.  Loving it; and today, I restarted my walking on the darn treadmill, and the Nook and book, made it bearable!!    Now to introduce weight lifting.  Ugh.

CHA--a Winter Wonderland

When you live near a 15,000 people city, the Internet is a marvelous eye to the world.  Several of the on-line scrapbooking stores are touring Craft Hobby Assoc. booths and posting to the Internet.  I am seeing products store owners have not even seen; and gathering ideas to help with the Webb Heritage Album I started this week.  So much fun.

New papers and embellishments

The Craft Hobby Association starts tomorrow.  It is one of my favorite times.  So much activity on the Internet leading up to the show.  Company blogs have been giving a sneak preview of the new products to be introduced.  I've already seen Teresa Collins, Bo Bunny and Graphic 45 lines that I want to add to my stash.  The perfect time to be doing Heritage Albums is now.  So many of the new lines have the Vintage flavor.  Happy Saturday.

I am reposting a sketch from Tim Coffey's blog.  It is a wonderful philosophy.  He is such an amazing artist.

Important to JOURNAL

I am working on a story for the writing class I attend.  Most of my scrapbooking is heritage and the journaling is critical.  Just want to impress to the newer scrapbookers to journal.  The fastest way is to use your own hand writing, next easiest is computer.  It doesn't matter the method, just journal.

Happy New Year 2012

It seems that I prefer to read rather than write a blog.  I follow some very good artist, Tim, Ali, Becky, Debby, Tim (Holtz and Coffey), Donna, Karen and many more.  However, today is the 3rd anniversary of our moving into our new home and I want to wish everyone a Happy New Year.
Lots to be Thankful for, especially, our Christmas visit to Seattle and safe return.
My New Years resolution is to record John's families in albums: Kings, Webbs, Cole, Fisher, Hutcheson and more.  I am excited for history is more exciting to me than current or future events.
