July 29th, Lindsay, TX, Hotter 'n Hell.
Making boxes this summer has kept me busy and mostly, my mind off the HEAT. And, mostly we stay in. So very thankful for this nice house and Trane A/C. Another interesting thing, we have learned to order from Wal-Mart on-line. Yesterday's boxes were so heavy I had to unload on porch and bring in piece by piece. Taught me a lesson, read the small print and make sure bottles and cartons are super-size. Instead of quart of Pine Sol, I bought gallon size and they came 2 per order, will not need Pine Sol for a while and lucky enough to find place to store. Have already started my next list, For free delivery, total must be $35.00. So far, no refrigerated items but that is coming.
    Some more boxes

Found 4 more, I think, unpublished boxes:
Difficult to find masculine paper. Guys seemed to enjoy. Made Doug one as well.  Now up to 24 boxes. Several, I did not make photo, not sure how many I have posted. Mostly for me. J

19 July 2017. Working on boxes that use Bo Bunny "Beautiful Dreamer." Love Bo Bunny, they have several sets of papers dating back several years using same color palette. It certainly helps when making boxes and needing two pages of same design. I mailed this box before taking photo. Cover is one from Bo Bunny's "Beautiful Dreamer."
Wish I had lots more Music Paper.
Working on two boxes using same paper line, sublimated by other lines.

More Boxes, number 17 and 18

Geez, I wish I could find "wrap around type." Wasting lots of space. Here are boxes 17 & 18. While waiting to take class on-line, I am also working on boxes. Will put these two on shelf and hold until several more made. It is hard to believe this is Graphic 45 paper, Bohemia Bazaar; really enjoyed the bright colors and stepping out of my comfort zone. Now have to cut more chip board and make several blank black boxes, black seems to be best blank color, my make one of so, craft colored ones.
Teacher sick this AM so missed 2 hr class, a class scheduled for tonight, hope she feels better.

12 July 2017. Changing direction for this post, from boxes to genealogy.
We have had so much fun with our DNA results. Have been peeking around in Ancestry, helping Sandy find ancestors;  looking to see what HINTS might bring additional data for both John and  I.  It isn't hard to add information you find to your Profile. Most Family Historians love sharing research and "setting the record straight." Sharing information is great as long as the information you are sharing is correct. When you are trying to "Prove" an ancestor that was born in 1700s you automatically have difficult job. I have at least four great-grandfathers that fought in Revolutionary War. The peoples of that time were busy building a home and working to provide food for families, who thought about records. You are talking about rugged frontiers with little to no governments or churches.
Now, I am trying to get record corrected for two ancestors. When I entered Daughters of American Revolution (DAR) in 1986 you could Prove yourself back to a female relative that had already done the hard work of making sure all data correct. I chose James McCleskey for my first ancestor. Research into James' life started many years ago but we still do not know who his parents are and facts about his wife, Isabella Rhea are disputed.  No problems has arisen with John Shaw or Henry Kite. However, William Dodd has, more or less, been un-proven. I am sure the William Dodd I used for DAR membership is not my ancestor, now to find correct one and get information out to help others miss that mistake. At first, I was irritated that so many take information, use it as truth without every trying to make sure it is accurate. The Internet and Internet sites make it easy to publish but they are not first to do it it is just easier. So, I am off to Ancestry to find my real Dodd ancestor and to take down William. Please, if you are interested in Family History, please learn the rules and Prove your research. I have been extremely pleased with effort Ancestry.com puts into training and getting information on How to out to people who need to learn. Effort must come from researcher as well.

13 April 2017.  It has been so long since I checked my blog I have forgotten how to navigate. I have been making boxes!! Adding several of the boxes made:

Since starting Ann E Webb Medlock's childhood albums in 2003 I have enjoyed making scrapbooks of our kin, ancestors and living.  Finally in 2015 I finished.  The only thing unscrapped  are thousands of travel photos.  We traveled the world and took many great photos, but they mean little to our family who were not with us, so, I am not putting them in books.  Just today, spent time looking at digital photos of our 2008 trip to the Five National Parks in Utah: Canyonlands, Arches, Coral Reef, Bryce and Zion. In Ireland they talk about the 40 shades of green, I believe there are more than 40 shades of red in Utah. It was a great trip, just the two of us.
So now, I am making albums and boxes for gifts: Album and box from Graphic 45 Come Away with me for Vicky Moreno (our maid's daughter. A student in NTU Denton.) An album and box for both Hunter Medlock and Alfred Moreno, both graduating from high school in May; also made box and album and box for Hayden using Come Away with Me.  I didn't get photos of their albums or boxes.  Counting Max and Kates boxes and one for Sandy and Darcy: 8.  Now, I am working on 9-12: John Jr, David, Scott and Joe Bunscho.  I am still having trouble covering the top corners; spent houses watching videos on YouTube and box construction. The gorgeous paper makes the box and keeps them interesting for me. Will try to get photos of the one I am now working on. Going to try to add the box I made for Darcy.
This is album and box for Hayden' s 16th Birrthday
